Sorry it has taken me so long to blog. There was an error with my email attaching to the Astronomy Blog, but no worries it has all been fixed.
On our first day we discussed what Astronomy was. We read and discussed our place in the universe. We also made our own start consultations which helped make our room more like the starry night. If you would like to see what they came up with, please come by our room and look. :)
The following week, I was out sick. Teacher Carrie did a great job using the Sub Plan and helping the kids make Space Ships with their own special aliens on top. The kids seemed to enjoy their fun activity.
We are the moving right along with the Solar System. Last week they learned about Mercury, Venus and Earth! I was absent from class but Teacher Isabelle did a great job carrying out their fun activities and discussing each planet. Between dropping craters and creating their own tissue paper Earth, the kids enjoyed the lesson.
This week we are going to add to the lesson of the Earth and discuss her Moon. A fun snack and some sensory fun await us tomorrow. Let's get ready to Blast to the Moon!
